Made by the Tuscan icon Vittorio Fiore, this is a Chianti Classico by any meaning. Cherries and blueberries jumping out of the glass, smooth and elegant. This comes from one of the most relevant hills of the DOCG. Vey pretty.
"Podere Poggio Scalette was founded in 1991, when the oenologist Vittorio Fiore and his wife Adriana Assjé di Marcorà bought some plots of land and a rustic building, abandoned for years, on the Ruffoli hill, between Greve in Chianti and Panzano. This first part of the company body was expanded in 1996 with the acquisition of an adjacent property, equipped with a cellar and large buildings, which brought the property to about 35 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards. Vittorio Fiore is one of the small group of oenologists who made the history of the Italian wine Renaissance."
