This Nerello Mascalese is a pure expression of Etna’s volcanic terroir, offering aromas of sour cherry, pomegranate, dried herbs, and crushed stone. The palate is lively and refined, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a savoury, mineral-driven finish.

Winemaker Calogero Statella and his wife Rita are among the rising stars of Etna. After years of consulting for top producers, Calogero began his own project focused on crafting small-batch wines from the northern slopes of Mount Etna. The wines reflect a deep respect for the land, with a style that is elegant, precise, and expressive of place.
