Delicately straw-yellow, it exhibits a perfume that combines the varietal expression of the grape with the territorial, consisting of fruity notes reminiscent of apricots and peaches, as well as more mineral and citrusy traces. On the palate, it is elegant, juicy, and very fresh. The tension of the sip remains in excellent balance.
In the Alpine vineyards of Alto Adige/Südtirol, one finds some of Europe's steepest and highest slopes. In the vicinity of the Venosta/Vinschgau valley, the flora presents a diverse blend of conifers, chestnut, oak, and juniper, amid a vibrant assortment of wildflowers ranging from enzian to edelweiss. Despite its mountainous terrain, a distinct sub-Mediterranean microclimate creates a surprising hospitable environment for seabuckthorn and rosehips. It is within this unique setting that the Falkenstein vineyards are situated.
