Garnet-red color. Subtle earth tone, the palate is pure pleasure, smooth elegant and long. Finesse is the word that comes to mind. Rich and full, pleasantly decisive and intense. Excellent.
In the Alpine vineyards of Alto Adige/Südtirol, one finds some of Europe's steepest and highest slopes. In the vicinity of the Venosta/Vinschgau valley, the flora presents a diverse blend of conifers, chestnut, oak, and juniper, amid a vibrant assortment of wildflowers ranging from enzian to edelweiss. Despite its mountainous terrain, a distinct sub-Mediterranean microclimate creates a surprising hospitable environment for seabuckthorn and rosehips. It is within this unique setting that the Falkenstein vineyards are situated.
