A refined red blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot, aged for 13 months in French oak (20% new). It opens with expressive aromas of blackcurrant, mulberry, and dark chocolate mint, followed by a rich, full-bodied palate with fine tannins, hints of cedar and tobacco, and a long, structured finish.
Produced by Balnaves of Coonawarra, a family-owned winery established in 1975 on the iconic Terra Rossa soils. Today, the estate is run by Doug Balnaves and his children, with winemaker Maddie LeMire bringing expertise from Burgundy, Pomerol, and McLaren Vale. Their wines reflect a deep respect for tradition, terroir, and precision winemaking.
An excellent match for grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses. A wine of both approachability and cellaring potential.
