Domaine des Forges Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru 2021 [500ml]

Quarts de Chaume is made from Chenin Blanc, and offers up a complex symphony of Seville orange bitterness with sweet candied citrus peel depth. The wine is intensely perfumed with honey, flowers, quince and apricot. It shows outstanding acidity which cuts through the concentrated sweetness.

Domaine des Forges is a historic wine estate situated south of Savennieries in the Val du Layon /Loire Valley that has been in the Branchereau family for five generations. It was founded in 1890 by Pierre Robineau, a grocer and merchant, who bought 2 ha of vineyard called “le Clos des Forges”. The estate now has almost 47 ha of vines, with Chenin Blanc as the main variety.
